XAP Fair Use Policy
How the XAP Fair Use Policy keeps the service fast and fair for every client.
The short version: each plan includes a generous monthly allowance for one business’s own use. It exists so XAP can keep prices low and the service fast for everyone. Most clients will never notice it.
1. Why we have a fair use policy
XAP is designed to be affordable for every small and mid-sized business. Every message uses computing power that XAP pays for. A fair use policy lets us keep prices low and the service fast for everyone, without charging extra for ordinary use. Most clients will never notice it.
2. What fair use means
Each plan includes a generous monthly allowance for one business’s own use. We count a message by how much work it takes to answer, so a long document or an image can count as more than one message. Your usage meter shows where you are.

Note: these allowances are starting points. We will adjust them as we learn from real use, and we will tell you before any change.
4. If you reach your allowance
We never cut you off in the middle of a task, and never silently. In order:
- We tell you when you reach about 80% of your allowance.
- At 100% we let you know, and you can add extra usage or move to a larger plan.
- If you continue, we may switch some replies to a faster, lighter model, or pace them across the day.
- In rare cases of very heavy use, we may contact you to talk about the right plan.
5. What is not allowed
- One subscription is for one business’s own use. No reselling, and no use on behalf of other businesses (for example, bookkeepers or accountants running other clients’ books on one subscription).
- No sharing logins.
- No scraping, bulk automation or other use designed to avoid the allowance.
- Use that is unlawful or harms others.
6. Other limits
Upload size, document length and the number of simultaneous sessions are limited to keep the service reliable. Contact us at [email protected] about adding extra team members.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as XAP grows. We will give notice of any material change.
